Theta Xi Omega Chapter

 

 The Cotillion Committee of Theta Xi Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. initiates its annual Debutante Cotillion Club.

The Cotillion Club consists of young African-American ladies from Troup, Harris, Coweta, and Meriwether counties.

 

Cotillion Club Requirements

 

The debutante requirements are:

​

● Must currently be a junior in high school

● Must have a cumulative academic grade point average of 2.5 (Verified by School Counselor)

● Submit a completed application along with a $100.00 application fee Cash or checks are acceptable. Make checks payable to Theta Xi Omega Chapter. Completed applications and

fee will be due simultaneously no later than March 10, 2024.

● Submit two letters of recommendation – one must be from a teacher, school counselor, or advisor, and the other from an adult friend or a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha

● Collect advertisement for the souvenir book ($500) Due September 22, 2024

● Participate in the ball and fulfill requirements (attend the majority of meetings and community service projects)

● Must be single

● Must not have children

● Will be required to purchase a ball gown pre-selected by the Cotillion Committee

● Must have a male escort for the evening

● Must have a “Father Figure” to present you for the evening

● Tuxedos are Required for both escorts
